Can anybody point me towards a good scan tool that works on the Sonoma GT. I know its kinda an odd ball with the CPI engine and a 700r4 trans (non-e)...any help would be appreciated.

Well, Snap-on, OTC and a couple others make decent ones. But when it comes to OBD1, your choices are somewhat limited if you want any real data, other than just a code reader. You can easily expect to pay $1000 or more for something with REAL tools on it.
Ford? Dodge? Jeep? Honda? Why would I want one of those, I've got my Chevy!
